WESTERN RIDING CAMP FOR GIRLS AND BOYS

Processing of the 2008 camp applications will begin on February 15, 2008. Applications are processed based on the date received. The reservation deposit must accompany the application form. Any applications that are missing the deposit or do not have complete information will be put in a pending file and will not be processed until the discrepancies are resolved.

All weekly terms start on a Sunday and end the following Saturday. Anyone arriving ahead of booked term dates or departing a day later will be charged a daily rate accordingly.

• Fees are $750.00 per week including GST and government room tax.
• $250.00 must accompany this application as a reservation deposit for each session booked.
• Personal cheques are accepted for reservation deposits only.
• Transportation fee from Calgary to the camp is $60.00 return.
• Balance of the Camp fee and transportation is payable on arrival at camp by certified cheque, cash or money order.
• 5% discount when there are three or more from one family.
• Make certified cheques or money orders payable to: Bates Bar J Ranch, Box 700, Cochrane, Alberta T4C 1A8
• No refund will be made for withdrawal from camp, arriving late or leaving early.

Since all counselors and staff are booked well in advance and horses and equipment scheduled, there can be no refund of tuition, or reduction for withdrawal. Reservation deposits will be refunded if your notice of cancellation is received by June 1st. After June 1st there will be no refund.

The directors reserve the right to dismiss any camper whose conduct is considered detrimental to the standards maintained by this ranch. Our standards include, but are not limited to, bullying, and the use of tobacco, drugs or alcoholic beverages. These standards are rigidly upheld. There is no refund of fees if a camper leaves due to dismissal.

High impact horse riding helmets are mandatory and will be provided for the use of campers during all horseback riding activities. Parents may choose to send their child with their own riding helmet, however, the helmet must be approved by Bates Bar J Administrators prior to use in order to ensure it meets horseback riding safety standards. Non-laced riding boots and/or rubber boots with a defined heel are required for riding.
